“Meat” Carrie Altorfer, Excalibur’s R&D Manager

Excalibur Seasoning’s new R&D Manager, Carrie Altorfer, is focused on transforming the customer experience through analytical precision and rapid innovation in meat & seafood seasoning.

Leveraging her background in analytical chemistry, Carrie is eager to be a part of the integration of expert meat processing insights, troubleshooting, and more sophisticated product development in the new R&D Center and Meat Processing Kitchen.

“We’re expanding our capabilities for more accurate results and faster turnaround time. One of our new instruments will allow us to continually evaluate raw materials from our vendors. These are more advanced methods to demonstrate to our customers that our products are tested and evaluated to meet their standards.

“One of the benefits of our new building is bringing our customers on site. We make the seasoning blend, put it on a protein, and they can sample it on the spot. Their reaction is immediate. We can experiment to determine which formulation is the best.”
