Excalibur Seasoning is closer than ever to opening a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed to support innovation and production.

From the earliest stages of construction on the R&D Center and Meat Processing Kitchen, momentum has been on our side.

“From rafters to roofing, our new R&D Center and Sausage Kitchen is really taking shape,” said President Mike Shrier. “Structural work advanced rapidly, with the framework completed and the roof installed soon after, followed by siding and window installation. Even through challenging weather, crews stayed focused and kept the project moving forward.”

With the building fully enclosed, construction shifted indoors and entered a new phase.

“Once we got everything sealed up, you could really see the next step come together,” Shrier noted. “The focus turned to shaping the interior, including the meat kitchen walls and preparing the foundation for the facility’s flooring system.”

A major milestone was reached with the installation of radiant floor heating and the pouring of the concrete floors, an essential step that helped accelerate the pace of interior work.

“Once the interior concrete went in, we knew things would start moving faster,” said Shrier. “It’s exciting to see these key elements coming together and setting the stage for everything that follows.”

Since then, progress across the site has been highly visible. Exterior features, including the parking lot and front sidewalk, are now complete, while significant interior work is underway. Drywall installation has begun, exterior doors are being installed, and interior door frames are being set as crews move deeper into the buildout.

“You can really feel the momentum now,” Shrier added. “With interior framing underway, we expect to see a lot of progress in a short amount of time.”

Rain or shine, the teams on-site continue to push forward with dedication and precision. The project remains on track for occupancy in September, with each completed milestone bringing Excalibur closer to delivering a facility that will expand our capabilities and better serve our customers.
